OFFICIAL PAGEANT POLICIES
Miss Philippines New York Organization
(Applies to all affiliated pageants: Miss, Young Miss, Little Miss, etc.)
1. Eligibility Requirements
• Contestants must be of Filipino descent (full or partial).
• Age categories must be strictly followed:

Little Miss Philippines New York: Ages 5 – 7 years old

Miss Pre-Teen Philippines New York: Ages 8 –11 years old

Miss Junior Teen Philippines New York - Ages 12 – 15 years old

Miss Young Philippines New York: Ages 16 – 18 years old

Miss Philippines New York: Ages 19 – 28 years old

Ms. Philippines New York: Ages 20 – 35 years old

Mrs. Philippines New York: Ages 20 – up
• Contestants must reside in New York or surrounding areas, or demonstrate a strong connection to the local Filipino community.
• Only individuals who identify as female are eligible to participate.
2. Registration
• All contestants must complete and submit the official registration form by the deadline.
• Required documents include:
• Proof of age (birth certificate or valid ID)
• Signed consent form (for minors)
• Photo release (if applicable)
• Incomplete registrations may result in disqualification.
3. Code of Conduct
• All contestants and their families must maintain respectful and sportsmanlike behavior throughout the event.
• Bullying, disrespect, or inappropriate conduct (in person or online) may result in immediate disqualification.
• All social media activity related to the pageant must reflect the values of respect, cultural pride, and positivity.
4. Judging Criteria
Judging is based on the following (criteria may vary by division):
• Poise, confidence, and stage presence
• Talent (if applicable)
• Communication and personality (Q&A portion)
• Cultural awareness and Filipino pride
• Overall presentation (attire, performance, interaction)
All decisions made by the panel of judges are final and not subject to appeal.
5. Wardrobe and Costuming
• Outfits must be age-appropriate and culturally respectful.
• Divisions may require specific attire (e.g., Filipiniana, talent wear, formal wear).
• Any props or costumes must be approved in advance if used on stage.
6. Media, Photography & Consent
• By registering, contestants (or their guardians) grant permission for the organization to use photos, videos, and names for marketing and promotional purposes only with signed consent.
• Contestants and families must not share any behind-the-scenes footage that could compromise the integrity or privacy of other participants.
7. Confidentiality & Privacy
• All personal data submitted during registration is handled according to our Privacy Notice.
• Information will only be accessible to authorized officials for judging and event coordination.
8. Event Participation & Attendance
• Contestants must attend all required rehearsals and activities unless excused in writing.
• Tardiness or no-shows may result in deductions or disqualification.
9. Titles, Awards & Responsibilities
• Titleholders are expected to represent the organization with integrity, grace, and cultural pride.
• Winners may be asked to attend cultural events, photo shoots, or community engagements throughout the year.
• Titles are honorary and may be revoked if the titleholder violates pageant policies or misrepresents the organization.
10. Disqualification Clause
The Miss Philippines New York Organization reserves the right to disqualify any contestant at any time for:
• Falsification of information
• Breach of conduct
• Failure to meet eligibility requirements
• Any behavior that reflects poorly on the pageant or Filipino community
